Philip Flood on China, aid and the life of a diplomat
MELBOURNE, 15 November 2011 – Eminent former diplomat and senior public servant Philip Flood AO spoke to Asialink prior to the launch of his memoir, Dancing with Warriors.
In a wide-ranging interview, Mr Flood discussed Australia’s place in a rapidly changing region, with a focus on Asia Literacy, the rise of China and the administration of aid.
Flood’s career highlights include Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to Indonesia and Director-General of AusAID. He was also High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
